I’m composing this blog post from a press release page at PRWeb. I can do this now because of a new feature called “BlogThis” that has just been released.
By clicking on the “BlogThis” link on the press release page, you can immediately start composing right from the page. Cut-n-paste capability is fully intact since the BlogThis window isn’t a window at all. This means you can highlight copy on the press release without losing the BlogThis compose editor behind that window (see screen cap).
I can also bring a linked photo from the press release into my blog post here. That’s how Joel’s smiling mug got here.
I only had to provide my blog site information (URL, username, password, etc.) once. So now when I click BlogThis, I am asked to confirm my blog site and then am taken straight to the post compose editor. Very slick.
Given the huge SEO value of back links from PRWeb press releases, bloggers should find this tool impossible to say “no” to.
