I’ve been watc
hing a conversation recently where some bloggers (David Olsen & Vlad) have discovered the value of blogging about PRWeb press releases. Since early in 2006, PRWeb has empowered its press release customers to activate an embedded trackback mechanism right on the press release page. This means any time a blogger links to a PRWeb press release that has the trackback mechanism enabled, it is very likely a reciprocal link will appear on the press release page that points back to the blogger’s post. This certainly applies to any Web site, not just a blog site.
The blogger (or news site or whoever) benefits by having this important backlink pointing to their site from a page full of relevant content and with high Google page rankings.
Granted, not all PRWeb releases will have this ability enabled and even so, the PRWeb customer has the opportunity to screen the trackbacks or not allow them at all.
I’d love to see relevant blog posts about PRWeb releases and I like the fact that those bloggers gain some benefit from doing it. A win-win if I ever saw one.

[...] PRWeb trackbacks benefit the bloggers that blog… [...]
[...] I have noticed that my blog moved to upper 80,000 blogs according to Technorati. So I first would like to thank following blogs for linking to me: Destination: Success, Every One Loves HitTail (evidently I was an inspiration to Mike Levin), An ongoing Press Release ( confirmed: PRWeb trackbacks are good), SearchGirt (thanks for pointing out that I “follow”), Final Tag, Affiliate Marketing Blogger. Thanks you guys for the “link love”. I also reciprocate when it comes to Technorati favorites- you ad my blog to your favorites I will ad yours to mine. I got this idea from Andy Beard. [...]
