MyBlogLog won’t let me back in

mbl.jpgI had to delete my browser cookies the other day and ever since I have been unable to get into MyBlogLog from that computer.

It’s kind of interesting since I had my MyBlogLog account from before they were acquired by Yahoo!. Then I joined my MyBlogLog account with my Yahoo! account on their platform so I would only need my Y! account thereafter. Everything was going swimmingly until I deleted my cookies.

I pinged customer support with an email explaining my situation in detail. I got a response double-checking if I was using my primary Y! account or an alias. I responded the result was the same regardless and threw in a screen capture so they could see what I was seeing. Then came the boilerplate Y! customer service response famous for killing off even the most die-hard Yahoo! fanboys, “If you’ve forgotten your password, these are the steps to resetting it.”

I had to retype my reply four times just to come up with one lacking swear words.

3/26/08 Update: it’s days later and no response from customer service to my last reply to the help desk (sans swear words) and still unable to log into MyBlogLog.

Another 3/26/08 update: I spoke too soon! An hour after posting the above I get this confidence-building email that pretty much takes away any reason for me to respond:
